Patsy Wiggins joins the Government Relations Practice Group of Eaton Peabody with 30 years of experience in television journalism and multi media production. Wiggins spent an impressive 23 years in television news as an anchor, reporter and producer at four of the major television stations in Maine. Wiggins spent many hours at the Statehouse covering the Maine Legislature during the Longley Administration while reporting for WABI-TV, Bangor. For a brief time in 1980, Wiggins was Senate President Joseph Sewall's Administrative Assistant. Wiggins was a reporter and noon anchor for several years at WCSH-TV. At Maine Public Broadcasting she hosted a new program "Personally Speaking” and then "Mainewatch" when the previous host, Angus King, decided to run for Governor of Maine. "True North" was the third MPBN program Wiggins hosted. She also anchored the noon and co-anchored the 5:30 news at WGME-TV in Portland for three years.
Wiggins has written and produced several special programs. An hour-long documentary about the life of Senator Margaret Chase Smith, included interviews with Edmund Muskie, Strom Thurmond, Richard Nixon and other Congressional leaders. Wiggins received an award from the Maine Association of Broadcasters for her special "Walter Cronkite, At Anchor in Maine." She interviewed teacher in space Christa McAuliffe, while she was training in Houston and Wiggins was live on air when Challenger lifted off. Wiggins flew with the Blue Angels and in 2007 interviewed Eleanor Roosevelt’s private secretary, Maureen Corr in New York City.
Most recently Wiggins co-founded and was president of a multi media company in South Portland where she videotaped and edited stories for various programs, events and clients, including; “Cure for Breast Cancer in Me”, Spurwink Institute’s Founders Recognition, Schlumberger, Houston, Texas, Joy & Leadership Conference, Albany, New York, “Women Leading Sustainability Conference", Detroit, Michigan, “Justice Pioneers”, Chicago, Illinois, “Celebrate School People” Augusta, Maine and Morris Yachts 35th Anniversary,
Wiggins has served on several state boards and commissions, including Maine Maritime Academy, and the University of Maine.
