Greg Mitchell has over twenty years of experience working with municipalities and businesses to support community economic growth. His extensive experience includes:

  • Structuring public-private partnerships to leverage local, regional, State of Maine, and federal business assistance programs,
  • Designing public infrastructure projects to support industrial park and commercial development,
  • Developing business retention, expansion and attraction programs,
  • Utilizing tax increments financing districts,
  • Mill and downtown redevelopment projects,
  • Knowledge of local and State of Maine development regulatory requirements and
  • Designing public processes which result in project approval.

Highlights of recent successful projects include:

  • Recruitment of the Wal-Mart Distribution Center’s 900,000 square foot Mechanized Grocery Distribution Center to Lewiston,
  • Redevelopment of Lewiston’s Southern Gateway Project (Maine Turnpike entrance) to attract over $20 million dollars of private sector investment,
  • Bates Mill redevelopment for financial institutions, call centers and restaurants,
  • State of Maine District Court relocation and expansion to a historic building on the National Registry, and
  • Retention and expansion of the Sun-Journal, central Maine’s regional newspaper.
